While there are many reasons Philip Rahm offers magnet auditing, safety is often the most pressing concern. Philip Rahm has performed checks in dozens of facilities, and there is almost always an issue with device placement, installation, model type or performance. Some of these issues can leave the facility open to major accident risks, and no one at the company may be aware of it. Our technicians take the entire facility and all of its processes into account when checking its devices, so if there are any looming hazards, they can be spotted before they result in injury.

Philip Rahm has performed magnet auditing and spotted safety concerns at many facilities it has inspected. For example, one of our clients initially had a number of powerful devices properly arrayed for separating metal contamination. These devices were responsible for protecting product safety and for removing metal pieces that could throw a spark inside of a mill or another machine. Because the slightest spark can ignite agriculture dust, it is imperative that this metal is removed as quickly as possible.

However, when Philip Rahm’s technicians explored the facility, they found that one of the devices was moved to another part of the factory without plant managers realizing it. As a result, a hammer mill in the facility was left unprotected, so something as simple as a bolt could enter the mill, throw a spark and cause a massive fire or explosion. The loss of life and property could have been immense, but because Philip Rahm caught it in time, the device was placed back in its original spot and inspected for efficiency.

This is just one example of what magnet auditing for safety can do for your facility, and once our technicians complete their inspection, plant managers can rest assured that their employees, customers and equipment are all protected.
